In this study, the participants consumed Mazafiti Dates for two months without any dietary changes in their diet. The research results have shown significant improvement in their mean Level of hematocrit, ferritin (the standard measure for Iron), and hemoglobin (Hgb), and their levels changed to 37.17 μg/dL, 53.98 μg/dL, and 12.05 μg/dL, respectively.

According to a study, four groups of participants were assigned to consume Sayer Dates, a drink made of dates and water, iron supplements in the form of ferrous sulfate, and the supplement of ferrous gluconate for 30 days. At the end of the research, these groups showed a significant increase in the level of hemoglobin. Moreover, the group that consumed Sayer Dates showed strong results.
